History of the temple

The original construction of the Ramdara temple was done in ancient times, but in the 1970s, Saint Shri Devipuri Maharaj, known locally as Dhundhi Baba, rebuilt it. His ashram is also located near the temple, which is a center of spiritual practice for devotees.

Ramdara Temple is easily accessible by road from Pune city. A distance of about 25 km has to be covered via Hadapsar-Manjari on the Pune-Solapur Highway. A road turns right from Loni Kalbhor, which reaches the temple after about 5-6 km.
